This role also features a high proportion of remote and hybrid positions and pays six figures. According to CBS News, the majority of the top 10 jobs are in reality computer and technology-related.
“This confirms the fact that almost all businesses nowadays are technology companies. Today, every single firm has some sort of internet presence to support their operations,” explains Scott Dobroski, Indeed’s career trends expert. “It’s really fascinating to me that traditional professions like doctor or lawyer aren’t included at the top of this year’s list. Two years ago, a lot of people would apply for those jobs.”
Dobroski thinks that as businesses depend more and more on technology to run their operations, the trend toward tech jobs will only continue to grow.
