Remote jobs paying $100,000 or more are back on the rise, and it’s happening faster than you might think!
According to Ladders, a website for high-paying job opportunities, remote positions offering $250,000 or more grew by 1.6% in just one quarter.
In the third quarter of 2024, 10.4% of these high-paying roles were listed as remote, up from 8.8% in the second quarter.
Ladders took a close look at over half a million job listings between July and September 2024.
The findings showed that remote jobs in areas like marketing, human resources (HR), operations, management, sales, and project management are especially booming right now. However, the report didn’t give specific job titles that are seeing big demand, leaving us to guess what positions are really growing.
On the other hand, FlexJobs, a site that specializes in remote work, also tracked job postings between June and November 2024.
They found that remote jobs in marketing, sales, and project management are seeing a rise in openings with six-figure salaries. These positions include:
- Sales Director – Average salary: $112,068
- Account Director – Average salary: $104,923
- Business Development Director – Average salary: $115,608
- Senior Product Designer – Average salary: $131,110
- Senior Product Marketing Manager – Average salary: $136,790
What’s interesting about this trend is that, overall, the number of remote jobs available has dropped.
According to LinkedIn, only 8% of jobs are remote now, compared to 18% back in early 2022.
Despite this, top earners are starting to push for remote work again.
Many companies in fields like tech, finance, and consulting are cutting back on remote opportunities to stay competitive.
However, businesses in other sectors are realizing that having fewer office spaces can save money.
This means they can offer higher salaries for remote positions while cutting costs elsewhere.
Opinion: It’s clear that high-paying remote jobs are becoming more common for those in the right industries.
The trend is exciting for anyone looking to work from home and earn a solid income.
As more businesses recognize the benefits of flexible work, we might just see a future where remote jobs continue to thrive, especially for high-level positions.
If you’re in marketing, sales, or project management, now could be the perfect time to jump in!
