Azerbaijan Airlines Plane Crashes on Christmas Day, Dozens Dead

A plane from Azerbaijan Airlines crashed on Christmas Day, killing many people.

The flight was on its way from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to Grozny in Russia.

The plane caught fire while making an emergency landing near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan.

The crash, which happened on December 25, 2024, left dozens of people dead, according to reports.

At least 28 people survived, including two children. The survivors were quickly taken to the hospital.

The plane had 67 people on board, including five crew members.

The passengers were from different countries: 37 were from Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, 6 from Kazakhstan, and 3 from Kyrgyzstan.

A video of the crash showed the plane circling in the air before crashing and catching fire.

Some passengers were seen covered in blood, leaving the wreckage.
